WINNER: Ben, NSW | Music Video

Ben from NSW had a truly Good Different submission, winning the grand prize of three years’ worth of FREE groceries* with his “I love ALDI“ rap song!

“Covering a series of iconic ALDI moments all shoppers can relate to, Ben’s passion for ALDI’s unique layout, focused offerings and his “happy place” of the Special Buys middle aisle is contagious within this parody rap. Being ALDIcore can mean you come in for milk and leave with a chainsaw, and we can agree that Ben, and other shoppers like him, are indeed a Good Different breed.Simon Padovani-Ginies says.

Of the win, Ben said: “I’m in shock – it’s life-changing! It’s unbelievable, I never thought they’d pick my video. I am so grateful and honoured, and I want to say a massive thank you to ALDI, probably three years’ worth of thankyous.”

Five other runner-up shoppers across NSW, VIC and SA will also receive one years’ worth of free ALDI groceries*. Congrats!

2. Emily, VIC | ALDI Car

Emily demonstrated she is living the ALDIcore lifestyle wherever she goes, by literally turning her wheels into the dream ALDIcore machine in the iconic ALDI colours. Now that’s Good Different!

3. Todd, NSW | ALDI Training Routine

Some people are born ALDIcore, while others train to be the most #ALDIcore they can be. Todd’s video showed off his intense gym regimen to stay quick on his feet for Special Buys, strong enough to push a trolley loaded with great ALDI deals, and stay fast as lightning at the checkout.

4. Morgan, VIC | ALDI Upcycled Fashion

Morgan literally “dreams” about ALDI, and found a creative way to translate his inward passion and enthusiasm for ALDI outwardly for all to see, by creating bespoke couture items upcycled from ALDI bags.

5. Jess & Addi, SA | ALDI Adventures Of Addi The Labrador

Being ALDIcore is not just for the hoomans. Adeline (Addi) and owner Jess shared a creative and wholesome entry demonstrating the dog’s mission to convince his owners to buy him a toy from the ALDI catalogue.

6. Ollie, SA | “Why I Am The Biggest ALDI Fan” PowerPoint Presentation

Ollie’s PowerPoint on “Why I Am The Biggest ALDI Fan” shows a long documented ALDIcore-ness that runs deep circa 2015: from finding a home based on proximity to an ALDI, his ALDI family traditions, and how he’s affectionately known by friends and colleagues as the “Special Buys expert” and “The ALDI guy”.
