Home is where the cart is (literally), as ALDI’s exclusive partnership with on-demand delivery service DoorDash is now officially available from most ALDI locations* across Australia.
Today, New South Wales became the final state to switch on, meaning shoppers can order from more than 1,800 products including award-winning fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, seafood, dairy, bread and household essentials direct to their doors.
“Our partnership with DoorDash is a game changer, truly transforming the different ways people can shop with us. Through DoorDash, shoppers can get their hands on ALDI’s exclusive range of top notch products at everyday low prices at the click of a button,” said Simon Padovani-Ginies, Group Director at ALDI Australia.
“We’ve responded to what our customers have been asking for. Whether it’s midweek essentials, forgotten ingredients, weekend top-ups, or their full haul, most customers around the country can now order their ALDI favourites online and have their haul delivered straight to their doors.”

Back in July, Canberrans were the first to trial out the service with thousands of orders delivered in the first week alone.
Some of the very first ALDI orders placed on DoorDash showed that shoppers are utilising the on-demand delivery service to conveniently solve some of life’s messiest problems – with one order of nappies and wipes and another containing two bags of cat food and a pack of toilet paper delivered on the trial’s first day within hours of going live. Talk about ALDI being available for customers when they need them the most.
Simon Rossi, Vice President DoorDash APAC, said: “Our partnership with ALDI is all about delivering our customers greater convenience, choice and value. ALDI’s much-loved exclusive and value-driven range combined with DoorDash’s reliable, on-demand delivery technology means shoppers around the country don’t have to go too long between ALDI shops. We are proud to help enable this new level of accessibility for Australians.”
Since then, the service has become available in most ALDI locations in Western Australia, South Australia, Queensland, Victoria and now New South Wales.
Fast facts about ALDI on DoorDash since the trial launch:
- Everyday essentials like fresh produce, milk and eggs are customer favourites, with items from these categories purchased in about a quarter of all ALDI orders on DoorDash nationally.
- A third of ALDI orders on DoorDash are placed on weekends – fending off the Sunday scaries one Spanakopita at a time.
- Snack time! Canberrans have a sweet tooth, with shoppers in the nation’s capital choosing the sweet Belmont Biscuit Co. Chocolate Flavoured Crème Wafers 125g as their ultimate snack. While Western Australians, Queenslanders, South Australians and Victorians favour savoury bites instead:
- Sprinters Corn Chips Cheese Extreme 200g are snacking staples in the baskets of Queenslanders, Victorians and South Australians.
- Western Australians are sharers, with the Sprinters Crinkle Cut Multipack 20 Pack 380g being their ultimate go to.
“From emergency orders of nappies and wipes, snacking essentials to the full weekly shop, customers have been raving about the new level of convenience the service unlocks for them. It is clear they are taking advantage of our partnership with DoorDash to meet their ALDI needs in a new and on-demand way, and it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate the service rolling out nationally from today,” said Mr Padovani-Ginies.
